As a consequence of the media\u2019s demonisation of Disabled people as \u2018benefits scroungers,\u2019 Disabled people have been subjected increasingly to incidences of disability hate crime. In my chapter in \u2018Disability, Human Rights and the Limits of Humanitarianism,\u2019 published in 2014 by Ashgate, I explored this phenomenon more fully.
